He was the founder chairman of the NCI Cancer Hospital (Malaysia), and former board member of the Saracens Rugby Club (UK) and the APEC Life Science Innovation Forum. He is a Pro-Chancellor of the University of Surrey (UK), the inventor of sheep monoclonal antibodies and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine (UK).
